The Webasto Group, headquartered in Stockdorf (near Munich), Germany, is a global innovative systems partner to the mobility industry and one of the 100 largest automotive suppliers worldwide. Webasto employs around 15,700 people at more than 50 locations.

In fiscal year 2021, the company generated sales of 3.7 billion euros with roof, heating and cooling systems as well as batteries and charging solutions. Webasto’s customers include manufacturers of passenger cars, small to heavy commercial vehicles, special vehicles, buses, motorhomes and boats, as well as companies with car fleets, dealerships and end customers.

Webasto has a broad global footprint, with more than 50 locations in all major automotive markets. Webasto pushed ahead with its internationalization at an early stage. With roots in southern Germany, the company started in Europe and expanded in the 1970s, initially in the direction of the U.S. and Japan. In 2001, Webasto launched its business in China, now the company’s largest single market. The company has been expanding its capacities there for years, most recently in South Korea, Japan and India.
